Guidance:

Seniors: New scholarship listing is out. List has been given to English teachers, posted on the scholarship board, posted in the media center, posted on the website, and sent with midterms. Tomorrow is the deadline for the Principal’s Leadership Award, and Monday is the deadline for the Toyota Community Scholar. Both applications need to be returned to Mrs. Noe.

Sophomores: Counselors will be meeting with you now. Passes will be sent out.

Western Illinois University is going to be here on Monday. Please sign up in guidance and pick up your pass on Monday morning.

Any NHS member who missed this morning’s meeting must stop in and see Mrs. Noe today, please.

Athletics:

Congratulations to the sophomore and varsity girls basketball teams on their first of many wins this season. The sophomores beat Byron 32 to15; and Halisey Kunde led the Indians with 13 points, with Marissa Haskins and Jenna Overlee adding 9 points each in the varsity win of 57 to 38. We’re very proud of you girls.

General:

Tickets for the fall play “The Curious Savage” are on sale in student services through today. Ticket prices are adults $7, students and senior citizens $5.

Do you owe a Library fine? Bring in a can or box of food this week to the Media Center for the HOSA Food Drive and your fine of $1 or less will be forgiven!

Jostens will be here tomorrow morning from 7:40-8:00 a.m. delivering class rings in the commons. Balance due envelopes were mailed home last week. Also, if there are any seniors who have not turned in their graduation orders yet you may do so at that time.

Any student interested in serving dinner at the Rockford Rescue Mission on Monday should obtain a permission slip from Mr. Petrauskis in room 2407.

There are less than 20 school days until Semester Exams. Are you ready? If not, come to Homework Haven to get missing homework done or study for those exams. We're open Mon-Thurs, 3:00pm - 4:15pm in Room 2405.

There will be a mandatory junior prom committee meeting in room 2407 at 7:30 tomorrow morning in room 2407.

If you want to see a fire with lots of smoke in the auditorium, come to tonight’s play at 7:30. The cost is $5 for students.

Students are not allowed in the halls without their agendas. Teachers, please remember to sign the agendas and make sure it is not a borrowed agenda. Students without agendas in the hallway will be escorted back to class.
