PICTURE DAY

Picture Day is on Wednesday, Sept. 3rd. You should have received your picture envelope in the mail by now. If you did not receive an evelope at home, stop by student services sometime before Sept. 3rd to pick one up. All students will get their portrait taken during their English class.. Seniors will get ID photos only.

HOMELOGIC- PARENT ACCESS TO STUDENT INFORMATION

This year Marengo High School will be implementing a home computer access program for parents and students. The parents/students will be able to access the website from any computer with internet access (see HL logo below). Parents will be receiving a login and password to access their students account in early September. There are a number of options on the website that parents/students can explore to find different information. If you have any difficulty with your login please contact Student Services at the High School at 815-568-6511.

INTERNET SAFETY PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS

An Internet Safety Presentation will be given for all MCHS Freshmen on September 4, 2008. A representative of the Illinois Attorney General's Office, High Tech Crimes division, will give students very important information about dangers on the Internet. »

START OF SCHOOL

MCHS continues to see enrollment steadily increase with a third day of student attendance number of 879. Enrollment by class is 230 freshmen, 195 sophomores, 221 juniors and 233 seniors. The freshman class has 23 more students than last years graduating class. The new high school has a capacity of 1200 students. »

My family and I will be moving from Springfield, Nebraska which is on the edge of the Omaha Metro Area, where I have been the Principal at Platteview High School for the past six years. »

FRESHMAN ORIENTATION DAY

Sixty junior and senior mentors at Marengo Community High School welcomed freshmen to their first day of high school on August 13th. The high school started a Freshmen Mentor Program last year to help incoming freshmen transition into high school. »
