ATHLETIC SCHEDULES

CLASS RINGS!

Jostens will be at school taking class ring orders on Tuesday, September 14th, during lunch periods in the commons. Please have your order form filled out prior to the order day or design your ring on line at www.jostens.com See your packet for promotions. Extra order forms and ring packets are available in student services. A $50 deposit is required with each order. You may use cash, check, money order or credit card at order time for the total amount of the ring or for the $50 deposit. Jostens will also host an open house/family night on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. in the commons for parents who would like to stop in and see the ring displays and talk with a Jostens representative. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Stauber in student services.

1st Parent Forum

The first Parent Forum of the year will be on Thursday, September 16th at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Members of the administration will review NCLB and the implications of MCHS not making AYP. The second Parent Forum will be on October 7th and feature John Baylor on ACT test strategies and college and career readiness.

ADMISSIONS

Due to a change in Big Northern Bylaws, entrance fees for all Big Northern Conference and home athletic games (excluding post season contests) are $3 for students and $4 for adults.

WINTER PARENT/ATHLETE SPORTS MEETING

There will be a mandatory meeting for parents and athletes playing a winter sport, boy’s basketball, girl’s basketball, and girls bowling or wrestling, on Monday, October 18. Any parent that was not at the fall meeting must attend the 7:00 p.m. meeting to view the video “The Role of Parents in Athletics.” If you have already seen the video, the sport informational meetings will begin at 8:00 p.m. for all winter sports. A parent and the student athlete must attend. Athletes may not participate until a parent has viewed the video. If you cannot attend on October 18, please call the athletic office for the make-up dates. »
