eLearning To Begin March 31
Marengo Indians
Sunday, March 29, 2020

In accordance with Governor Pritzker’s directive, Marengo Community High School District 154 will be closed through the end of the school year.  Students must check in daily between 9 and 11am using the online student attendance form located at www.mchs154.org. Click on the “MCHS eLearning” button and record your attendance.   Once your attendance is recorded, please begin working on activities/assignments posted by your teachers, in order to work towards completing your classes for credit.

As you are aware, this is an unprecedented situation for all of us.  We are working to provide instruction in a manner that we believe is in the best interests of our students, our families, our staff, and our community during this time.  We will be communicating frequently with all of our stakeholders, and, as we receive feedback from these groups, please understand that there will likely be updates, changes, and improvements as we implement different instructional techniques with which our staff and students may not be familiar.  Your patience with this process is appreciated.

Our staff and teachers will communicate with students and parents to further develop a partnership to provide instructional remote learning in this challenging situation.  In order to improve our remote learning techniques and processes, we need feedback. A student’s ability to communicate how or why something is not working is the only way we can use that feedback to improve.  If you see your child becoming frustrated or if he/she doesn't understand something, ask them what would help them or why are they frustrated. Then, work together to find SOLUTIONS for improvement. Remind them that we are all trying to work together to help them be successful.  We will be reaching out to our Parent Advisory Council to better understand challenges that exist and use that feedback to make any needed adjustments.
