The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has approved the continuation of its summer meal program beginning September 1 through December 31, 2020 or until the funding is unavailable. What does this mean? ALL students are eligible to receive one free breakfast and one free lunch per day through the fall months. This unprecedented program is to ensure that children have access to nutritious food as the country recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic. If your student purchased a meal on September 1st and/or 3rd, the cost of your meal(s) have been refunded to your student’s account.
Families who wish to receive meals on their remote learning days must complete this survey. You will be required to pick up your meals every Wednesday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Door 13 at Marengo Community High School. If you have already signed up for free meals you do not need to sign up again.
Please remember that a school lunch contains five meal components: meat or meat alternative, whole grain, fruit, vegetable, and milk. Students who wish to purchase additional entrees, milk, etc., not included in their meal may do so at their cost.
