MCHS is offering a comprehensive summer school this year to address the needs of our students and many of the constraints we have faced with COVID-19. Students are highly encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities. Many of the summer school offerings require students to be in attendance at MCHS, therefore there are options for students to request breakfast and/or lunch, and transportation, as needed.

MCHS students will have an opportunity to earn credit in any core classes they have failed either this school year, or during previous terms. Any student in grades 9-12 who have failed a core class in Math, Science, Social Studies, or English should consider a MAP Credit Recovery since these are required classes toward graduation. A certified teacher will be available to assist students with the Educere online program during the summer months, therefore student attendance for in-person learning is required. Students who successfully complete any of the available courses will earn 0.5 credits. Below is the link to the MAP Credit Recovery flyer and relevant information for those courses:

MCHS will also be offering classes for students to get ahead in their coursework in the Physical Education and Health Department. Eligible students can consider signing up for Driver’s Education Class, Behind-the-Wheel (BTW), or Health. The Driver’s Education class is being offered onsite at MCHS for in-person instruction and the Health class is being offered to students in the Class of 2024 who wish to get ahead and open up a spot in their schedule for the 2021-2022 school year. The Health class will be offered as a remote, synchronous option. Sign-up for BTW will not begin until Wednesday, April 7th and will require onsite registration.
